Week of January 27th

This week we have been in a differnt classroom because of upper school examinations but have worked on some very interesting things.

Grade 4s continue working on writing their own song. They are using technology for this and have also learned about intro, coda and a bridge and are incorporating these things into their compositions.

Grade 5s have been continuing to learn about parodies and are in the process of analysing an existing parody. Next week, they will get to work on learning their own parodies!

Grade 6s have been emersed in the music of the maritimes and have been learning about the meaning of 'Northwest Passage' and 'I'se the B'y.

Have a great weekend!

In grade 4 we will be working together on Arts Night preparations, will explore coding in music in grade 5, and I am looking forward to working again with the grade 6s on the arts componen...
